Victims of the EF-2 tornado in Cooke County on Saturday night
Seven people were killed and more than 60 others injured, officials said.
VALLEY VIEW, Texas — One day later, more information is being found about the victims of a deadly reported tornado that hit Cooke County on Saturday evening.
Seven people were killed and more than 100 others injured in the disaster, officials said. The tornado also leveled homes and structures across Denton, Cooke and Collin Counties.
Three of those killed were Miranda, Marco and Laura Esparza. Laura Esparza was the mother of Miranda and Marco. The father of the two, and Laura Esparza’s husband, survived and is undergoing surgery.

Of the four children killed, two of them were reported missing Sunday morning and later found dead, Cooke County Sheriff Ray Sappington said. The children, 2 and 5-years-old, were siblings, according to the Sheriff.
